Terminal F is PortMiami's 3rd cruise terminal dedicated to Carnival ships as well as currently the largest in North America. The 2019-signed Carnival-PortMiami agreement included the company's commitment to homeport at Terminal F ships for 20 years, with the option of two additional 7-year lease extensions. The 2-story terminal covers a total area of 3557 m2 (38280 ft2). The plans for the new Royal Caribbean terminal were approved by Miami's Board of County Commissioners on July 7, 2016.
